What we match on, what the match score means and why travel time counts.

01
How does Werkvolk matching work?
You view a vacancy and choose to show interest. Werkvolk reviews that interest before it becomes available to the employer as a reviewed match. The employer examines the available information and decides whether to proceed. Follow the status in the app: interest, a match and an invitation are separate steps.
02
What exactly does Werkvolk match on?
Werkvolk compares available vacancy and profile information, such as requirements, experience, skills and travel context. Personality and culture information can add context where available. You review the reasons behind a match and decide whom to invite. Candidate interest and a reviewed match are different steps.
03
What does the match score mean?
A match percentage summarises available match information; it is not a probability of being hired or performing well. Review the reasons and the information available. Use it alongside your own assessment and the conversation.
04
Why does travel time count, and not just distance?
Whether a workplace is practical depends on transport and working hours as well as distance. Review the available travel information for a candidate and discuss the commute during the interview. Travel times support your assessment; they do not guarantee the daily journey.
05
Which personality test do candidates take?
Werkvolk uses personality information based on the Big Five model. It describes characteristics and can provide context for a conversation. It is not a right-or-wrong assessment and does not by itself predict whether you get a job. The app explains the available questions and results.
06
Will I receive unsolicited CVs as an employer?
Werkvolk is not a CV database or candidate supplier. Interest starts with a candidate viewing and responding to a vacancy. The portal shows available interest and matches according to review, access rights and your matching plan. You decide whom to progress with.
07
How quickly do I get my first matches as an employer?
It depends on the role, location, conditions and candidate interest. After publication, candidates can discover your vacancy. Interest can still be awaiting review; there is no guaranteed candidate count or delivery time.
08
How quickly do I get matches as a skilled worker?
After completing your profile, you can discover available vacancies. Whether a suitable one appears immediately depends on your preferences and current listings. Seeing or liking a vacancy is not the same as a conversation with an employer. Follow your interest status in the app.
09
Can I set must-haves as an employer?
Yes. Define the actual requirements of the role, such as a licence, certificate or work schedule. Use the available match information to assess how the profile fits and check important requirements during the interview. You decide on selection and hiring.
10
Does an algorithm decide whether I get the job?
No. The matching ranks and explains, people decide. The employer chooses who to invite and you choose which vacancies to go for. A match opens a conversation, nothing more and nothing less.
11
What can vacancy insights tell us?
Follow reach, views and interest, review rejection reasons and monitor response and hiring times. The information available depends on activity and the candidate feedback you receive. Detailed vacancy insights are included with paid matching.
12
What is the difference between interest and a reviewed match?
Interest means a candidate has liked your vacancy. That interest may still be awaiting review and is not the same as a match reviewed by Werkvolk. You can see interest counts without a paid plan. The first 2 reviewed matches are free across your account; you choose a plan for further matching.
13
Can Werkvolk match candidates already in my ATS?
In development: candidate readers for selected providers. Activation depends on verification of the provider connection and candidate permissions. Importing vacancies or receiving applications alone does not enable access to an existing candidate pool. Contact us to check your connection.
14
Does an internal ATS evaluation use my two free Werkvolk matches?
No. Internal evaluations have their own subscription allowance: Team 1,000, Business 3,000 and Group 10,000 per month. The first 2 free Werkvolk-reviewed matches remain separate. An score does not establish candidate interest or acceptance.
15
What happens when we reach the limit?
New evaluations stop at the cap. Your allowance resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each month, with no rollover. You can wait for the reset or choose a larger subscription. There are no automatic overage charges.
