It depends on the role. Enter your experience, education and certificates accurately and read the vacancy requirements. Some roles suit beginners, but seeing a vacancy does not automatically mean you meet every condition. The employer checks requirements during selection.
Which certificates are asked for most often?
Requirements differ by occupation and workplace: a driving licence, safety training or evidence of experience with particular machines, for example. Read the vacancy and ask which proof the employer needs. A course, certificate and workplace authorisation are not always the same thing.
Will I be rejected if I am missing one certificate?
A missing certificate may matter for the role, but not every requirement has the same meaning. Check whether the employer requires it and ask if training is possible. Do not claim a certificate you do not hold. Werkvolk cannot promise that a missing qualification can be obtained within days.
Can I take a course to get a certificate?
You can look for training through VDAB, Syntra or other recognised providers. Content, duration, entry requirements and costs vary by course and personal situation. Check current conditions with the provider before enrolling. Also ask the employer whether training for the role is possible.
Does Werkvolk work with schools and training centres?
Yes. Werkvolk has partnership agreements with technical schools, where we run sessions ourselves, and with training centres. Skilled workers who have just finished a course flow straight through to the platform, and employers see that back in their candidate supply.
How do I add my certificates to my profile?
Open the education and certificate sections of your profile and add what you have actually obtained. Check the details and keep them current. Retain your supporting documents: an employer may need to verify them during selection even if you do not upload them in advance.
My VCA or forklift certificate has expired. What now?
Update your profile and ask the issuing body or training provider whether and how renewal is needed. Validity and renewal differ by certificate and work context. Check with the employer which evidence is required before performing tasks that require it.
Are there jobs for people without work experience?
Beginner roles may be available depending on the listings. Read the experience requirements and whether workplace training is offered. Describe your experience honestly, including internships or relevant skills. The employer decides whether you qualify for the role.
